Spaces are limited - claim your spot in this unforgettable journey back to what truly matters.

Meet your retreat leader: Danika Olson - Girl In Alaska

Danika Olson is an Alaskan influencer and content creator behind the Instagram page Girl in Alaska, where almost 70,000 followers turn to her for inspiration, local knowledge and tips, and a taste of life in Alaska. Having grown up and lived all over Southcentral Alaska, she’s spent her life chasing experiences that push the boundaries—from flying airplanes and fishing remote rivers to hiking rugged peaks and uncovering hidden places that are rarely visited.

After 15 years working various corporate jobs, Danika took a leap of faith and left behind the 9-to-5 to explore Alaska full-time. What started with sharing videos of flying lessons and weekend escapes quickly grew into a thriving community of people curious about life in the 49th state. Today, she leads group trips around Alaska, builds custom travel itineraries, and partners with local businesses to spotlight the best this state has to offer.

Danika brings a fun, down-to-earth energy to everything she does, with a gift for connection and creating unforgettable moments. At this retreat, she’s here to help you unplug from the daily grind, experience the wild beauty of Shearwater Cove, and share what makes Alaska so special.

This is your chance to relax, unwind, reconnect with what matters, and rediscover what lights you up—alongside a group of like-minded women ready to do the same.

Carly Locke, L.AC, YTT 200

Carly has dedicated most of her life to the world of movement, initially through dance training growing up in Alaska. Her journey into yoga began as a method to rehabilitate and cross-train her body, eventually transforming into a profound spiritual exploration.

In 2012, Carly received her yoga teacher certification with Tracey Rohan-Irwin in Bali. Her personal practice deepened under the guidance of renowned teachers such as Shiva Ray, Janet Stone, Les Leventhal, and Megan Currie. Carly is also an acupuncturist and practitioner of Chinese medicine at her private practice Alchemy Wellness, bringing a holistic perspective to her teachings.

Dedicated to fostering a transformative space, Carly invites students to embark on their own journey of self-discovery, exploring the interconnectedness of movement, energy, and spirituality. She is passionate about guiding individuals towards harmonious integration.

Carly is co-owner and founder of Seward Yoga.

  • Retreatants need to be comfortable with a moderate level of activity and mobility, including going up and down stairs every day, getting in and out of kayaks, and spending 30-45 minutes at a time in a kayak to reach one of our nearby destinations.

There are several flights of stairs from the dock at Shearwater Cove up to the yurts, so please keep this in mind as you pack your bags. Soft luggage that can be worn as a backpack is highly recommended.

The two mixed yoga sessions are beginner friendly and will include modifications to meet your mobility level. If you have any questions about the physical and mobility level needed to enjoy this retreat, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
